Raz Hartman is an Israeli-born singer, pianist, composer and teacher. Trained in classical music from a young age. After meeting Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, he realized that music needs to be joyful, an expression of the soul. So he began connecting to the rich world of Chassidic melodies and composing his own music. Raz's music is an articulation of his yearning that the world will find itself in a place of Shabbat and truly enables its listeners to touch a deeper place in the world. The paradoxical simplicity and depth of Raz's haunting voice and music truly awaken a yearning within.
